I spent three months in a tropical metropolis as the only long-term resident in a guesthouse filled with passing backpackers. Around me, the city moved with constant energy, while sunrise and sunset softened everything into pastel light. In the mornings, I picked ripe orange mangoes from the tree in the backyard and felt an unexpected sense of calm within the intensity of urban life.
Created on raw cotton using acrylic and oil paint, the surface has a soft, organic texture where layered pink and beige tones dissolve into a hazy atmosphere, while vivid orange and blue accents bring moments of energy and light. The work balances softness with vitality and carries a sense of emotional movement beneath its calm surface.
The edges are painted in the same base tone, and the artwork is intended to be displayed unframed. Ready to hang with hanging wire installed.
